光夢 - Hikariyume

Thought I'd post the film Gary and I made for the Chobitto JAPAN! Film Festival at the beginning of December. The theme for the festival was "the Japan you find in Kochi", and this was our entry. The entire thing was shot in stop motion with a digital SLR. Hope you enjoy.

I left my shoes and socks there, I wonder if they're dry."  -Spike Milligan

Kochi Kita Koko Bunkasai

Just a few shots from my schools bunkasai (culture festival).

One of the games at the bunkasai involves throwing snacks and candy out of windows to a waiting crowd. I forget what the name of this is, but I think it translates to "let's watch polite people go balls wild over airborne snacks."

Weekend Excursion to Hiroshima and Miyajima

Hiromuseum
Hiroshima Prefectural Commercial Exhibition - Built 1915

August 6, 1945 - The skeleton of this building was one of the few structures left standing after the atomic bomb was detonated within about 600 meters of the dome. The Genbaku Domu (or Atomic Dome) has been preserved as a war memorial and is now recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
